Here is a Jay Haide a l'ancienne "Statue" model cello patterned after Italian maker, Ruggieri. These "special model Statue " instruments feature European tonewoods and are a step up from the normal a l'ancienne instruments (they normally sell for $6450). The Ruggieri model is a little wider than the Strad in the lower and upper bouts. This cellos is strung with Thomastik Spirocore (tungsten) G/C and Larsen A/D strings with a Belgian bridge. It has a robust tone with good articulation.
